Special Educational Needs & Disability (SEND)

At Badgerbrook we are proud of the reputation we have for supporting, nurturing and developing children with special educational needs and disabilities.

We strive to offer a curriculum which reflects the learning needs of all pupils and which mirrors the school’s aim to provide a broad, balanced, creative and challenging curriculum. We consider all teachers to be a teacher of every child and we strongly believe every child including SEND pupils should have high aspirations. All children receive quality first teaching which is then differentiated for individual pupils to meet their needs. Learning without limits is our underlying ethos;

Everybody, without exception, can learn and can become a better learner.

We always work closely with parents, outside agencies along with both educational and health professionals to ensure the provision, interventions for learning and practical support meet our child's individual needs.

SEND support is led by Mrs Toon, our SENCO / Deputy Head Teacher and supported by Mrs Ellis our assistant SENDCO along with the class teachers and learning support assistants.
